Celebrate Excellence in Our Community: The Pride of Work AwardsAt the heart of Burleigh and its surrounding suburbs, the Pride of Work Awards shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes who demonstrate exceptional pride in their work—whether through their approach, attitude, dedication, or unwavering commitment to their roles.
Pride of Work isn’t about competition; it’s about recognition. Since 1975, when the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills in Sydney first introduced the Pride of Workmanship Awards, more than 600 Rotary clubs across Australia and the globe have celebrated individuals who embody the spirit of excellence in their everyday work.
Why Nominate?
Imagine the impact on your team when you publicly celebrate the dedication of one of your standout employees. By nominating someone, you’re not just lifting their spirits—you’re sending a powerful message to your entire team: Your hard work is seen, valued, and celebrated.
And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a moment in the spotlight?

Nomination Guidelines: Open to all ages, job types, and roles—if they’re excelling, they’re eligible!
We’re seeking those who live by the motto: ‘Do it once, do it well.’
Ideal nominees consistently deliver: high-quality work, show unwavering dedication, maintain a positive attitude, take initiative
prioritise safety, and earn the respect of their peers.
Employers are encouraged to submit one nomination per organisation.
Nominations close at 5pm AEST on 17 September 2024.
A limited number of awardees will be honoured with the award, chosen by the Pride of Work Committee, comprising members of the Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads who are also local business leaders.
Recipients won’t be informed in advance by the Rotary Club—it’s up to you whether to surprise them on the night or let them in on the secret! Both the recipient and their employer will need to attend the awards night, and we encourage you to bring along the whole team to share in the celebration.
Awardees will be our special guests for the evening. The nominating employer will have the honour of introducing their awardee and sharing the story behind the nomination during the ceremony.
Joining us a very special guest is Peter Maddock, Director of the Assistance Team at Queensland Small Business Commissioner's office.
