About this Event
Join us for a warm and welcoming Pre-Pride Coffee Morning – a joyful gathering to kick off the day in true Pride spirit!
We’ll have plenty of coffee, tea, and light refreshments (🍎 Vegan/veg options available) to fuel the festivities, plus the chance to make signs and badges, share stories, and soak in the community energy. We'll have bottles of water and fruit to help fuel you for the day as well. We're also hoping to have some live music to round off the fun!
Come together with our friends old and new, celebrate who we are, stand up for our rights and get ready if you're marching, to do so with pride, purpose and unity.
All are welcome!
Who we welcome
This event is for anyone LGBTQ+ in Edinburgh (or visiting) and their families (all ages welcome) partners and friends to come together.
We celebrate the full diversity of our community including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people, and everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
You're also welcome if you're questioning or exploring your sexual orientation or gender identity, or if you don’t use labels at all.
👩👩👦 The event is family-friendly and welcome all ages.
What to expect:
- A trans inclusive and affirmative space
- A space where you are queer enough and allies are welcome to support in solidarity
- All ages welcome
- Room to roam, with volunteeers and staff to provide a welcome and info throughout
- Have a warming cup of tea or coffee and a snack throughout the event
- All in a safer space to connect and have fun, including quieter space if you need it

Photography
Staff/volunteers may be taking a few photos or wee videos at the event, for LGBT Health to use publicly on our socials and website, to let people see what these events are like. If you do not wish to be photographed we will respect your wishes - please feel welcome to use our 'No Photos' stickers available at the welcome desk.
Safer spaces
Together we take a zero tolerance approach when creating safer spaces for our community. This means we won't tolerate racism, bi+phobia, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, ageism, ableism or any form of discrimination.
All LGBT Health and Wellbeing's events are delivered under a safer spaces commitment that we ask everyone to follow (this includes attendees, our staff and volunteers). Read our guidelines and commitment before joining the event.
Ticket cost?
Whilst we do not want cost to be a barrier to attending, we ask that when you book on Eventbrite, you make a donation of £5 per person if you are able.
If you’re not able to donate, we don’t want that to stop you joining us – please do select the option for free tickets if you’re not able to donate.
If you feel you can, you are also welcome to ‘pay it forward’ and donate a little more, to cover the cost of a ticket for someone in our community who isn't able to donate right now. This is a great way to support our community and help us to have more events like this.
Why do you ask for a donation?
Donations help cover costs for this event and also mean we can do more events like this in the future.
Did you know?
If you want to help us to keep supporting our LGBTQ+ community to thrive, you can become a ‘regular giver’ and make a donation each month. All amounts are gratefully received and all amounts make a big difference; you can select the ‘monthly donation’ option on our PayPal here.
