Join us for a special Oldham Pride fringe film screening event. Come together with friends, allies, and community members for an evening of cinematic celebration and solidarity. Step into the colorful world of Megan Bloomfield as we present a screening of the cult classic film "But I'm a Cheerleader" in celebration of Pride Month! Get ready for a hilarious and heartwarming journey that challenges stereotypes and celebrates self-discovery.

Directed by Jamie Babbit, "But I'm a Cheerleader" is a satirical romantic comedy that follows Megan, a high school cheerleader whose parents suspect she's a lesbian. Sent to True Directions, a conversion therapy camp, Megan discovers her true self amidst a group of colorful characters and unexpected friendships.
This screening is a tribute to LGBTQ+ resilience, authenticity, and the power of love in all its forms. Whether you're a longtime fan or experiencing the film for the first time, join us for an evening of laughter, reflection, and community.
This screening is in partnership with Billingtons Oldham who will be bringing a pop up party bar complete with themed cocktails, classic American beers and plenty of delicious softies. It's time to sit back, enjoy the film and kick off the most colourful month of the year!

Admission is £3.30 per person, this event is open to all - whether you identify as LGBTQ+, an ally, or someone simply interested cinema.
