John is based in Glasgow, Scotland and has worked locally with thousands of dogs and their humans reaching successful training and behavior outcomes over the last 17 years. Additionally, he has presented at workshops, seminars and conferences in the UK, multiple locations in the US, Canada, across Europe and Australia. Workshop: Historically, We have bred our dogs to excel at certain behaviors for our assistance; Border Collies herd and stalk, terriers chase and K*ll, each breed/type has their own natural behaviors. Often, we play games or have expectations which are at odds with what our dogs have been bred to do. When we have a clearer understanding of what our dogs have been bred for, we can design and play games and exercises which are better suited to their breed and type, leading to a more relaxed, focused and content dog leading to a happier human! Join us for this special one off workshop exploring these topics.
This is a human only workshop. There will be a handful of carefully selected demo dogs on site to assist in showing various exercises and games. Please leave your pups at home unless you’ve been specifically instructed otherwise.
Please bring your own camping/lawn chair from home for the most comfortable seat.
Parking will be dispersed between the resort parking and an adjacent lot. Staff will be on site and ready to assist in providing direction.
Light morning refreshments will be available at 8:00AM. Please arrive early to enjoy, settle in, and mingle with other attendees.
Special additional educational materials will be available for purchase at a discounted rate on the day of the event
