Presented by Maryland Public Television, join us for an evening preview screening of Ken Burns’ The American Revolution, an expansive, evenhanded look at the virtues and the contradictions in the fight for independence and the birth of the United States. Attendees are invited to generate a time capsule letter to future generations, detailing their lives, thoughts, and feelings on the current state of American democracy.The screening will begin at 6 pm. Film duration is 56 minutes. A panel discussion with Richard Bell, PhD, and light reception will follow.
The American Revolution is a six-part, twelve-hour series on America’s founding struggle, presenting the story of the men and women of the Revolutionary generation, their humanity in victory and defeat, and the crisis that they lived through.
