Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Advance for SMA

Upon request and on a limited basis, SMA offers a training program for qualified solar equipment technicians to self-perform central inverter preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and a limited set of repair types (SMA Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Advance). Following the successful completion of the training, the customers technician will be permitted to safely perform many inverter corrective maintenance tasks without voiding the SMA equipment warranty in a manner that is safe and consistent with industry best practices, and the SMA Maintenance Manual and SMA Limited Factory Warranty requirements. All training is provided at the direction of and for the benefit of the solar plant owner to minimize lost production, and is contingent upon SMA approval.
