This class builds upon the food preservation techniques taught in our basic canning class and focuses on canning low-acid vegetables and meats which must be done using a pressure canner. This class includes a live demonstration of the pressure canning process.This class will cover:
* The tradition of canning and preserving.
* Deciding what to can and preserve and identifying which foods must be canned using a pressure canner.
* The difference between water bath canning and pressure canning.
* The types and differences between pressure canners.
* How to use a pressure canner.
