Class Description:
Love books? Love flowers? Love learning something new? Then this is the class for you! Come and make a cute little booklet adorned with pressed flowers to use or gift to someone special. Book making is totally easy and you'll learn all about it in this fun, creative and accessible class. You will learn a simple process for bookbinding and get to use pressed flowers to make your own unique cover design. Beginners welcome, all materials will be provided.
About the Instructor:
Sophie Kanter is a textile artist living in Washington, DC. A native of the city, she is inspired by plants and everything nature has to offer, in addition to beautiful modern design. Her practice includes natural dyeing, embroidery, cross stitch, and much more! The best part of her art is sharing the process with others and seeing the unique creations of others. In addition to art, she also loves chocolate chip cookies and other people's dogs.
