2/14 – 9am – Hide & Seek – Camouflage vs Morphs – We’ll talk more about habitats, but our focus this time will be on how animals adapt to their environments, and then how society has taken cool colors found naturally in the wild and breed for them to create some of the most colorful animals you’ve ever seen. (Animal Handling: various reptiles) 2/15 – 9am – Look around! – Local Species – Let’s talk about how to look for wild animals safely and appropriately, also known as “herping”. We’ll meet and greet with a few local species that we have at our facility as well. (Animal Handling: local reptile species)
2/17 – 9am – Poison & Venom – These animals pack a punch – Did you know poison and venom are not the same thing? Come learn about the differences between the two. (Animal Handling: various non-venomous reptiles)
Cost will be $25/child/session.
Zookeeper time frame: 2 hours.
Children can book single sessions or multiple sessions.
