About Barbara:
From as far back as she can remember, Barbara LaClair has always been interested in her family's history, paying close attention and asking questions as elder family members talked about their memories and ancestors. That early interest blossomed when a distant cousin compiled and shared a genealogy report on one line of her family tree. From then on, she has been hooked. For more than 40 years, she has continued to grow her research skills and discover new information about her family history. She is currently serving as the President of the Topeka Genealogical Society, where she also leads one of their Special Interest Groups and periodically offers educational classes or programs on a variety of genealogy topics.
