Each year, the Historic Wilmington Foundation honors the very special people enacting our mission through exemplary preservation efforts in the following categories: Adaptive Reuse, Rehabilitation, Restoration, Appropriate New Construction, and Interior Preservation.Did you recently restore your historic home, renovate an old building for your new business, or rehabilitate a structure (or multiple!) that’s 50 years or older this year? Know someone who has? Nominations are now open for HWF’s renowned 2024 Preservation Awards! Nominate yourself or someone else before Friday, April 19, 2024. Visit historicwilmington.org/preservation-awards to access our online nomination form. HWF only accepts digital nominations. The project’s completion date must fall between May 1, 2023 and May 1, 2024.
The Historic Wilmington Foundation will honor award recipients at a ceremony on Thursday, May 16th (6:00pm-7:30pm) at the historic New Hanover County Courthouse. The awards ceremony is sponsored by Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW).
