The Northwest Trombone Collective, a newly established ensemble founded by Portland Bass Trombonist John Ohnstad, will present its inaugural performance at St Barnabas Episcopal Church in Portland on April 6th. Additional concerts are scheduled for later this year. The collective’s mission is to deliver exceptional, impactful performances that highlight the full capabilities of the trombone.The concert will showcase a diverse repertoire, including original compositions by David Wilburn, Richard Molla, and Michael Terry, as well as arrangements of works by Astor Piazzolla, John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Morten Lauridsen. Arrangers include Randall Malmstrom, Jim Nova, and Jeffrey Reynolds.
