We have all been called into ministry. One of the biggest responsibilities is passing your faith and understanding of truth along to the next person. Do you have a mentor, a teammate and someone to Mentor. If you are a father, your first ministry is to you children. Not a father? Then you are in a community with young men who need you. Young in the faith or young period. You are leading and influencing others. The question is are you are doing it intentionally or unintentionally. Tonight we will come together to spur each other on to implement a plan of action. The pastors have preached, the work is clear and now it is our turn to act.
So what is your next step in your faith journey? What can you actually do now to make that step happen?
We are gathering on January 9th, a Friday night, before the 2026 season gets going to try out:
Tryout for service and see if you have what it takes. 2 Corinthians 13:5
Tryout the Lord's plan and see if it isn't true. John 14:11
Tryout a season of ministry, see if God doesn't bless you Malachi 3:10
Why come?
No Pastors preaching - they already preached, now it is time for us to do something. This is 100% volunteer hosted event. Most won't look at the list of names and get to excited because it isn't about celebrity or entertainment. It is about the Truth in action in their lives. (pastors can come, they just aren't working tonight)
There will be a time of worship with hundreds of the men of Compassion, and only men!
Hear from Ordinary Men in our church whose personal story will help motivate you into action. Ordinary men who trusted God and TRIED his plan, even when it was scary or didn't make a lot of sense at the time.
Connect with new small groups, serve teams, find accountability partners, and community partners.
dinner by Deacon Nelson Sosa and the men's ministry of Compassion Henderson is included
3-5 Optional Extended education time with active programs run by the men heading those programs up.
