It's "Spring Cleaning" - a good time to rid your medicine cabinet of unneeded prescription medicines and drop them off for proper disposal. No questions asked! The Bullhead City Police Department will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 26th.On this day, law enforcement agencies across the country will provide a venue for people who want to safely and anonymously dispose of their unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family or friends and often from the home medicine cabinet.
A prescription drug drop-off site will be set up outside the Bullhead City Police Department, 1255 Marina Boulevard, on Saturday, April 26th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. All medications collected will be turned over to the DEA for proper disposal.
DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Illegal drugs will not be accepted. Visit www.DEAtakeback.com to find a collection site nearest you.
If you can’t make it, the Bullhead City Police Department has a permanent and secure prescription drug drop-off slot in the lobby during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
