About this Event
This is a broad overview of the application of fire specifically targeting NRCS staff and other agencies who may use prescribed fire as a land management tool. The student will not leave as a qualified prescribed burn manager or wildland firefighters. Instead, they’ll leave with a more basic understanding on the following:
• Introduction to fire as a land management tool.
• Specific objectives achieved when burning.
• Planning and logistics for the burn ahead.
• Best management practices in Georgia’s forests.
Complete before in person training to recieve the JAA on practice 338.
