Event description
Many children can read well. But an English Oral exam in Singapore is about more than reading. It’s about how comfortable the child is with using English in conversations and thinking on their feet. It is, in fact, easy to spot a child who is comfortable with the spoken language by the way the child speaks. It also means it’s easy to spot one who isn’t comfortable. This can have significant consequences when the child starts to build a career. This talk highlights key speech habits children can work on with their parents at home to do well in an English oral exam.
