Caring is about more than meeting day-to-day needs. It’s about answering crucial questions like:

Who will look out for this person I care for when I’m no longer around?

How can they build more unpaid friendships and connections?

How can they have a good life?

Our facilitator Ricky from Toward Better will deliver a workshop which aims to empower carers to explore these concerns and through understanding and using ABCD principles to identify and apply practical strategies for creating stronger and more supportive communities.

If you are caring for a loved one and worry about what's next, you are not alone. This event is for you.

This event is for Adult Carers only. Carer Program events provide a safe and welcoming space for carers to freely interact with each other, so we ask that children and/or the person you care for are not brought along with you to events. Please note that if this occurs, you will be unable to participate in the event. Thank you for your understanding.

This event is for carers living in Townsville region. Please do not proceed with this event registration if you are living outside of Townsville region as you will not be eligible to attend this event.
