Tim is a native of western North Carolina, graduated from UNC-Asheville with a degree in atmospheric science in 1998, and has been a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington for the past 24 years. He also serves as the office's climate program manager and maintains Wilmington's 153 consecutive years of climate records. Outside of meteorology, his interests include gardening, kayaking, birdwatching, and spending time with his family.
