As children become teenagers it is important to start thinking about and planning for their adult lives. This is called preparing for adulthood and it can be more challenging for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
To offer support, we hold events for young people with EHCPs who are in year 9 and above. Our next family information event for families in Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Newark is:

• Time: 10am to 2pm (just drop-in)
• Venue: Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG19 7BH
Come along and speak to education, health and adult social care services for advice and support about how to support young people who are getting ready to transition from childhood to adulthood.
