About this Event
Lamaze Childbirth education classes at Spartanburg Medical Center serves families no matter what type of birth they are planning for. All classes within the Lamaze Childbirth series present evidence-based information for normal and safe birth, influenced by the Lamaze 6 Healthy Birth Practices. Classes provide in-depth information for expectant families, reducing their fear or anxiety while building confidence and preparing them for birth.
Please note this class is a 2 week series and will meet for two consecutive Sundays from 2pm-6pm.
In this class series you will learn about:
-Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices, Relaxation Exercises,
-Anatomy/Physiology of Normal and Undisturbed Birth,
-Techniques for your Support Person, How to Minimize Discomforts of Labor,
-Communicating with your Care Provider, Benefits and Risks of Common Medical Interventions during labor
-Planning for Postpartum, Breastfeeding and Newborn Care and more.
Each Lamaze Childbirth Educator is a labor and delivery nurse as well and is up to date on birthing practices and policies.
All Prenatal Education Classes at Spartanburg Medical Center include you and a support person with each registration.
