This is a one-day accelerated childbirth class that prepares the expectant mother and her support person for childbirth. Topics include: stages of labor & birth, coping strategies, relaxation & breathing techniques, medication options and the adjustment to post-partum. We recommend that you take this course after you've reached 28 weeks of pregnancy.At this time, registration is limited to 12 mothers with up to one accompanying partner each. Please note, only one registration per couple is required for this course.

Please feel free to bring your lunch or snacks with you as it is a long day with a lot of material to cover. There is a cafeteria nearby with lunch and snacks available for purchase.
As a reminder, some of the information shared in this class is specific to those who are delivering at Mountainside Medical Center. If you are delivering at another hospital, and prefer to take one of their courses, you may find classes offered by the hospital where you are delivering at events.hackensackmeridianhealth.org/maternity.
