About this Event
Our discussion this evening will include:
• Planning for baby: Preparing body, mind, and spirit
• Creating a positive birth experience
• Important considerations affecting mother and baby
• Social and emotional milestones of infant development
• The importance of parental support
Pregnancy offers expectant parents an opportunity to prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for parenthood. Unfortunately, we rarely have the same preparation time to face each new challenge after the baby arrives. But each situation we encounter means that we are learning, growing, and becoming like new parents with each milestone our child reaches.
Making informed decisions about childbirth, newborn care, and parenting practices is a gift of time and energy that all parents are willing and able to make. Support, information, preparation, and practice help us navigate each new joy and challenge.
Cute baby things and the latest gear don't last. Still, the quality of our parenting is our child's lifelong foundation for healthy growth. So if that's the kind of registry you're looking for, join us for our next meet-up!
We hope you’ll join us!
Need flexbility? You can come in-person, to the Bristol Public Library, or join us online, depending on what works best for you each month. We’ll send out a Zoom link before each session, and we’re easy to reach with questions.
Register now for the Attached at the Heart Parenting Program. The sessions are free of charge, and document of completion is provided. We will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. The Attached at the Heart Parenting Program helps you connect with your child, provides tools to turn parenting challenges into opportunities, and helps your child flourish. Connect with other parents and find balance, support, and encouragement!
Program Overview:
The Attached at the Heart Parenting Education Program curriculum training provides parents, child advocates and professionals much needed insight into childrearing with specific tools to help parents learn more about child development, neuroscience, and positive discipline, to trust the intuitive knowledge of their child, ultimately building a foundation that will strengthen healthy child attachment.
