The emphasis is on stages of labor, determining when to go to the hospital, comfort and coping strategies during labor, including the epidural and pain management and the birth process.
In addition, the class addresses the importance of emotional support during labor and helps ease anxiety surrounding the birth experience.
This 3 part series is scheduled for the first 3 consecutive Tuesday evenings with a new series beginning the first Tuesday of each month.
IRMC will bill your insurance company and, many times, your insurance will cover the cost of these classes. In the event that your insurance does not cover this service, we offer an upfront out-of-pocket cost of $65.
$65 covers the following classes:
Childbirth Preparation (Series or Weekend)
Breastfeeding Workshop
Newborn Basics class
Classes are located in the same building as the Primary-Care Walk-in Clinic. When entering the building, take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.
