About this Event
Bringing a baby into the world is incredible, and your body is designed to do it! In this workshop, Monica and Isha, 2 physical therapists specializing in pelvic and women's health, will walk you through some practical ways to connect with your body and prepare for labor and birth.
What we’ll cover together:
- Pelvic floor and breath connection – Learn about the pelvic floor and how your pelvic floor works during daily life with breath coordination.
- Positions for labor and birth – Explore different positions that can help labor feel more comfortable, encourage baby’s progress, and give you options for pushing and birth. Learn how your partner can assist you in feeling more comfortable through touch, education, and advocating for you during birth.
- Breathing while pushing – Discover how to use your breath and pelvic floor together while pushing with birth to make the process more effective and safer for your body.
You’ll leave feeling more confident, with tools you can practice at home and use on the big day.
