The Fondazione Effetto Arte presents the Premio Leonardo, an award themed “Rome: Contemporary Dialogues (Roma: Contemporanei a Confronto)”. The prize aims to honor the creativity of contemporary art, spotlighting distinguished artists and emerging talents active on the international art scene, while creating a global platform where tradition and innovation converge.
This exhibition and award continue the Foundation’s longstanding mission—to provide artists with opportunities for visibility and dissemination, and to promote meaningful dialogue among different artistic languages, generations, and cultural sensibilities. Through this initiative, we hope to build a bridge between history and the present, allowing Leonardo da Vinci’s eternal spirit of invention to resonate with the vitality of contemporary art at the cultural heart of Rome.
The Premio Leonardo will be presented through two high-profile art events in Rome, highlighting the fusion of art and innovation. The first exhibition will be held from 30 November to 4 December 2025 at Palazzo Velli, located in the historic center of Trastevere, offering audiences a multidimensional artistic experience. The second exhibition and award ceremony will take place on 12 December 2025 at the Congress Center Fontana di Trevi – Roma Eventi, housed within the Palazzo of the Pontifical Gregorian University.
Following deliberation by the jury, the following Chinese artists have been selected as finalists for this year’s Premio Leonardo: Chang Tingwei, Gao Yulan, Jiang Yifan, Jin Hui, Li Hua, Li Yujie, Mao Xuewen, Pan Juanjuan, Sun Qiao, Wang Kai, Xu Haixia, and Yang Yaping. They will join artists from around the world in this prestigious artistic celebration—showcasing the creativity, expressive force, and boundless possibilities of contemporary art in the Eternal City, where history and artistic imagination intertwine.
