The end of October is pretty celebratory for me. 4.5 years ago I did a movie (acting), for almost three months of consistent shooting. Lost 46lbs for the role, shave most of my hair (eyebrows too) and lots of training for this one. It was a big deal, as I also was filming another movie (Beyond Adversity, AmazonPrime) in New York.
Anyway, their distribution deal fell out during covid, like so many other Indie Films, and now it's coming out.
The dramatic film titled "Cancer", new title is "It ain't Over".
A movie about two teens who become best friends with a volunteer nurse while the two of them spend their last year of high school in a hospice center.
The premier will have a Pink carpet (for breast cancer month) roll out, concert, premier of movie, and talk back afterwards with the actors, director, and producers.
I don't know who all is coming out, but I know some celebrity friends and colleagues have been invited, and reportedly there will be a lot of press.
If you can make it out, I would love that, and if you can't I understand. It will release on many streaming platforms in November.
The producers have partnered with St. Jude's Hospital and Cancer Research center, where a large portion of the film's proceeds (Premier included) will go to. This is a premier and a charity event, so all good things considered.
