Helping Hearts of Florida was established in 2024 in Bay County by a group of local mothers who personally experienced infant loss and wanted to help other families facing the tragic reality of pregnancy and infant loss. We are proud to be hosting this year’s Remembrance Event in partnership with Healthy Start of Bay, Franklin, and Gulf Counties, and with the help of many volunteers. Since 1988, the month of October has been recognized nationally as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Many cities across the United States host a ceremony or symbolic walk to honor and acknowledge babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, fatal diseases, neonatal death, sudden infant death syndrome, illness, accidents, and other tragic causes. It is estimated that 1 in 4 pregnancies will end in miscarriage or infant loss. This sad statistic is true even in our local area.
