Overview:
Achieving a consistent and esthetic restoration is the priority for today’s one appointment dentistry. The objective of this workshop is to provide a theoretical and hands-on training including stain and glaze techniques for lithium disilicate purple restorations, and step-by-step review of processing highly esthetic zirconia restorations.
Topics will include:
- Achieving contours that blend with adjacent natural teeth in the anterior.
- Hand polishing techniques for esthetic and high-strength zirconia restorations.
- One step process glaze and stain techniques.
- Proper surface treatment and overview of cementation options for all types of glass ceramics and zirconia restorations.

Instructor: Jeff Smith, CDT
Jeff Smith, CDT has over 41 years' experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician, Manager and Educator. He received his training in the United States Air Force and earned a degree in Occupational Education from the Community College of the Air Force. Prior to joining Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc., Jeff taught Dental Laboratory Technology at the Department of Defense Dental Laboratory School at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, where he served as the Course Director. He is currently Director of Technical and Digital Services Department at Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc.
