At the age of 66 with a lifetime of metal artistry behind her, Elaine Unzicker is having her first Solo Exhibition titled “Precision & Freedom” which came about with KADI grant funding from the Arts Council of greater Kalamazoo. A collaboration led to the creation of 7 Metal Lace garments clinging to the dancing bodies of the Wellspring Dancers for the YWCA 140th Anniversary Gala Event held in November of 2025. The exhibition will reveal the chainmail garments worn for the performance. At the Opening Reception set for Friday, February 6 from 6-8pm at the Westin Gallery inside the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, two Wellspring dancers will perform in their costumes. Wellspring will be performing “Woven Together” at Radfest, hosted inside the Epic Center, on Friday, March 6 at 7PM.
