Join us on our one and a half hour, Precious Metal Silver Clay Jewellery Making Taster Workshop, and learn the fundamentals of creating your own beautiful solid silver jewellery.
Guided by your instructor you’ll make one solid silver charm. You will have access to a selection of different textures, and shapes, to create a wonderful, unique piece of jewellery. You will learn the process of making jewellery with silver clay from start to finish. You’ll learn how to handle, roll, shape and texture it, before drying and refining. You’ll then be shown how your jewellery is kiln fired and finish the session with polishing your charm. Your charm will be ready to take home with you on the day! (please note that no torch firing will be done in this session due the length of the workshop. If you want to experience torch firing then please book a place on either the half day or full day workshop)
Precious Metal Silver clay is made up of very fine particles of recycled silver, water and a non toxic binder. When your piece is fired, the binder burns away, leaving you with solid fine silver. The process is truly magical. Art Clay fine (99.9%) silver will be used during this workshop.
This workshop is aimed at those with no little or no experience of working with Silver Clay.
The workshop cost of £45 includes silver clay for your charm, use of tools and a sterling silver jump ring.
