Are you currently mentoring and encouraging other beginning preachers? If your answer is yes, then this practical, and interactive full day (9:30am - 4pm) seminar with Dr. John Tucker on Saturday 27th September at Whakatāne Baptist Church is for you. John will provide a basic introduction to the principles and practices of preaching sermons that are both faithful to Scripture and engaging for listeners. We’ll cover topics like:
How to conceive the message
How to shape the message
How to illustrate the idea
How to apply the truth
How to deliver the sermon
John is a lecturer in church history and preaching at Carey Baptist College. He’s passionate about the power of God’s word and the need to proclaim it effectively. Before teaching at Carey, John was a pastor and a lawyer. He loves sport and loves talking about that too!
Suggested koha: $40-$50 per person. Light lunch provided.
