LAWA will conduct a Pre-Proposal Conference for this procurement. Please see the Summary Information Page (i) for the exact details regarding the time and place of the conference. At the conference, LAWA will present an overview of the proposed scope of work, including the procurement process, schedule, and administrative requirements. Attendance at the Pre-Proposal Conference is optional, but highly recommended.
The Runway 6L-24R Exits and Runway Rehabilitation Projects include, but are not limited to; Demolition of existing pavement, subgrade preparation, mill and overlay, stabilized base, and PCC and AC pavement; Construction of PCC and AC pavement; Placement of barricades, installation and removal of temporary electrical, temporary markings, temporary blast fencing and traffic delineators during construction phasing to support this project; Installation of various utility improvements, including drainage improvements, grading improvements, fueling modifications, airfield lighting, surface pavement markings, and signage improvements; Modification of FAA facilities including installation of Runway Status Lights (RWSL); removal and relocation of Airport Surface Observation System (ASOS), windcones, Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE) reflectors, Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI), Fiber Optic Transmission System (FOTS) and electrical power infrastructure; Fuel hydrant and structure modifications; and other associated work
LAWA seeks firms with demonstrated capabilities and experience in providing professional construction services at a major commercial airport or similarly complex environment.
NOTE: All persons attending meetings at LAWA must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or a negative test for COVID-19 within 72 hours of the meeting, before being admitted to LAWA offices. Please bring your CDC Vaccination card, electronic vaccination record, or a negative test result printed, emailed, or displayed via text message. The negative test result must be from a test provider or laboratory and must show results of a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Antigen COVID-19. Your qualifying document will be inspected by LAWA offices upon entrance to the facilities. DO NOT EMAIL ANY VACCINATION RECORD OR NEGATIVE TEST RESULT. Any persons that fail to meet this requirement will not be allowed to attend the Pre-Proposal Conference.
