TEAM Rules:
1. Up-to 16 Teams
2. 4 surfers
3. 35-minute heats
4. Best one wave (per surfer), no wave limit
5. No tag is required. Next surfer can position themselves where they like on the beach/rocks
6. When competing surfer is satisfied with counting a ride, they raise both arms, and then the next surfer can go.
7. If the last surfer makes it to dry land, they get a bonus of 3 points.
8. There are no penalties if a surfer chooses to still be in the water as the heat finishes.
9. There will be priority. As a surfer enters the lineup, they will be awarded priority based on how many surfers are in the designated priority zone. For example, if there are two surfers in the zone, the new surfer will gain 3rd priority. Priority will only be used when riding a wave. However, excessive blocking will result in a loss of priority.
10. If the competing team seems there is sufficient time left within their 35-minute heat, then they can send a surfer back into the line up to improve upon their score. This is not a Power Surfer, for example, if one of the surfers locks in a 3 point ride, the team coach may send them back out to improve upon that score. Only one surfer can do this, and they still have to get back to dry land to secure the 3 point bonus.
