Selected solos on the Wednesday and Thursday, and full band and march events on the Friday and Saturday, will be live-streamed on www.brassbanned.com
Having just been appointed in 2023, Musical Director David Maas is taking this band to a National Contest for the first time. He stated that he is very pleased with the way the band is playing in the build-up to the contest.
Drum Major Nigel Hewitt says that he is looking forward to leading the Levin band in the Parade of Bands.
Band President Chris Craddock stated that the band was really looking forward to the contest and the challenge of playing some highly demanding Brass Band ‘test’ music.
With entry to the Concert being only a gold coin donation to cover the costs of the venue, Mr Craddock was expecting a high turnout Sunday 7th July. "The people of the Horowhenua and the greater Kapiti Coast support Levin & Districts Brass with enthusiasm," Mr Craddock stated .
