Pre-Holiday Reset: A Grounding, Revitalizing Sound Bath

As we prepare for family gatherings, we're aware that they are often a messy mix of fun and frustration, happy connections alongside conflict and anxiety. Let's take a moment to clear our emotional baggage and refuel with grounding peace and inner strength. Let this potent sound journey sustain you for the week ahead so you may be centered and equipped to create positive memories.

This 90-minute session will include a guided visualization, poetic word and a deeply immersive sound journey using a wide variety of sound healing instruments.

Know that this in sound journey you will be nurtured with healing frequencies and deep peace. All identities, expressions, and bodies are welcome in this space of safety, pride, and healing. Limited to just 8 participants so don't delay.

Instruments include a 32" planetary gong (Chiron, the Wounded Healer), an ocean drum, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, wind gong, monochord, Peruvian seed rattles, "heartbeat" drum and more.

About Sound Journeys: Sound journeys bathe or massage our bodies, minds and spirits with healing sounds. This can help our noisy "monkey minds" get quiet as we shift to a Theta brainwave state from our usual Beta and Alpha states. This is where we relax deeply and experience peace and healing on a cellular level. Some people report physical, emotional, mental or spiritual shifts, such as pain relief, improved sleep, sense of clarity, calm, release of tension, feeling revitalized and much more.

What to expect: Come with your intentions for deeper listening within. I believe whatever is meant to happen for you will and whatever is not meant to happen will not.

Need to know: Please do not wear any perfumes or cologne to this event, as some may be allergic. I will use incense, sage or palo santo to clear and cleanse the space before the session. Let me know if you have allergies.

Please arrive about 10 minutes before the start time so that you can prepare for the experience, and silence your phone upon entering. Understand that late arrivals will not be admitted once the sound journey has begun, out of respect for the group's experience. If the door is closed, please do not knock and disturb the session.

Please bring: While yoga mats and bolsters are provided, please bring whatever else makes you comfy while lying on the ground for at least 75 minutes: some like an extra thick yoga or single size camping mat. I recommend bringing a head pillow and blanket. I will have lavender eye pillows for your comfort. Let me know if you need any accommodations so that you may be comfortable. Sitting upright is possible if needed: I can bring you a floor chair if you let me know at least 1 day before.

If you have any medical conditions that may be negatively impacted by sound or vibrations, please consult your health care professional before signing up. These may include pregnancy (first trimester), sound-induced epilepsy, or mental health diagnoses that may be triggered by intense sounds.

This session is open to LGBTQIA+ adults and mature young adults and allies only.

About the practitioner: Annmarie is trained with a diploma from the widely acclaimed international Sound Healing Academy and began her practice in early 2023. She has also been an educator for 28 years and additionally, is now a Spiritual Director in training. "While I have been writing poetry nearly my whole life, becoming a Sound Practitioner has been a calling that I never expected. It is such a delight for me to bring the power of sound vibrations to others and witness the profound impact it has."
