About this Event

UNITING THE WORLD TO TACKLE CLIMATE CHANGE: Mobilising climate finance for a just transition to net-zero.

Danish Pre-COP26 event jointly organised by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, with keynote speech from Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

28 October 2021, 15:00-16:15, UN City Copenhagen.

Climate change is the greatest risk facing us all. We are at a critical crossroad for the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

Achieving an ambitious outcome at COP26 is key to keep the 1.5 temperature target alive. Mobilising financial resources is essential to create the right conditions for a successful transition. In fact, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), annual clean energy investments will need to triple by 2030 if we are to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
