About this Event
This session will explore how motivational interviewing can be used within school settings, by educational psychologists, teachers and other professionals. Specifically it will cover:
• How MI fits with relational approaches
• How emotional literacy support assistants (ELSAs) can use MI to support the wellbeing of children and young people
• How the development of thinking around macro-MI (systemic thinking) fits with school based practice
This session will be idea for professions with some basic training in, or knowledge of MI. It will not cover basic concepts, so may not be suitable for beginners.
