The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) at The University of Texas at Austin will host a pre-college showcase focusing on Latin American Studies. The event is free for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

This free, one-day event will introduce participants to the exciting, interdisciplinary Latin American Studies (LAS) major at UT Austin and its relevance for today’s globalized world.
Attendees will meet UT faculty, students, and staff, and learn about the UT admissions process, funding opportunities for LAS majors, and study abroad.
The showcase includes brief introductory classes focusing on language, history, or culture of Latin America taught by UT faculty.
UT swag and a best-selling graphic novel included. Free parking, coffee breaks, and a catered lunch are provided.
