Come and join us for a heartfelt, uplifting celebration of multiple faith groups in West Auckland coming together in the name of peace! As part of the international Week of Prayer for World Peace, members of locally practised faiths and spiritual paths will share an uplifting prayer, chant, reading or musical item. This is a beautiful way to meet and connect with other West Auckland lovers of peace, from many different backgrounds, plus be divinely inspired and uplifted by the many offerings!
Prayers for Peace is free community event open to all, organised this year as a collaboration between WAWII (West Auckland Women's Interfaith Initiative) and the Hindu community's Shri Ram Mandir.
The formal part of the event will be followed by nibbles, and the serving of free curry and dahl, kindly supplied by the Mandir. We are also extremely grateful to the Mandir for offering to host this event, in what is a busy time of year for them with Diwali coming up.
We look forward to seeing you there, to rekindle friendship with some old faces, and to meet some new ones, and remember that in heart we are all one.
