CELEBRATING THE WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITYThe Prayer of Peace in the spirit of Taizé is a monthly opportunity to practice peace in the present moment through silence and song. Ecumenical, it is accessible for Christians of all denominations. Contemplative and musical, it includes many simple, short, repetitive songs that foster meditation.
A connection to the livestream and a pdf edition of the program will be available at the prayerofpeacegr.org web site. If Monday night doesn't work well for you, the video of the prayer will be available afterward for your convenience. Watch and pray at a time of your choosing. +++ St. Mary Church is located at 423 1st St. NW, near downtown Grand Rapids with easy access to both the US-131 and I-196 expressways. The church is one block north of Bridge St., in the block of Broadway, Second, Turner and First Streets. Parking is available in the lot on Second Street and on the streets immediately surrounding the church in the block of Broadway, Second, Turner and First Streets NW. Note that the church has enlisted the help of AirGarage to help manage public parking in the lot. This does NOT apply to times when the church is hosting an event, so you will not need to pay for parking between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm on the night we have the Prayer of Peace. Parking on the streets around the church remains free after 5:00 pm.
