The Prayer of Peace is an opportunity to practice peace in the present moment, through silence, song, and the witness of all gathered together to acknowledge Christ’s hope within us. Ecumenical, it is accessible for Christians of all denominations. Contemplative and musical, it includes many simple, short, repetitive songs that foster meditation. Our prayer will include a service of light. Lighting candles in this way serves as a prayer and a symbolic demonstration of Christ’s light spreading in the world.
***Note that the church has enlisted the help of AirGarage to help manage public parking in the lot. This does not apply to times when the church is hosting an event, so you will not need to pay for parking between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm on the night we have the Prayer of Peace. Parking on the streets around the church remains free after 5:00 pm.
The livestream will be available through the church’s YouTube channel, found at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsbhnH5fhCeIlBR1sNpSEdVkpuZiao8Ee
A pdf edition of the program will be available at the prayerofpeacegr.org web site.
If Monday night doesn't work well for you, the video of the prayer will be available afterward for your convenience. Watch and pray at a time of your choosing.
