Om verkstedet: I workshoppen «breaking the pattern» jobber vi med å tilegne oss nye bevegelser i kroppen og utfordre fastlåste mønstre og vaner. Målet er å utforske hvordan vi ofte begrenser oss selv i bevegelsene våre, og å åpne opp for nye uttrykk og former gjennom improvisasjon og øvelser som legger til rette for dette. Vi vil fokusere på å identifisere og bryte ned vanene som er lagret i kroppen vår, og teste ulike metoder for å oppleve en ny fysikalitet og bevegelsesfrihet.
Åpent for profesjonelle utøvere.
Bio: Tone Kittelsen kommer fra Kristiansand og jobber frilans som dansekunstner med base i Oslo. Kittelsen produserer og skaper egne forestillinger. Hun har produsert flere prosjekter som blant annet har blitt vist på scener som Kristiansand Kunsthall, Sørlandets Kunstmuseum, Nasjonalmuseet, Dansens Hus og Bærum Kulturhus. Hennes verk kjennetegnes av en dyp utforskning av bevegelse, kroppens potensial og de emosjonelle landskapene som dans kan skape. De siste årene har hun samarbeidet tett med Tori Wrånes og turnert nasjonalt og internasjonalt som en del av hennes team. I Kristiansand har hun vært med på å starte og drive festivalen Ravnedans siden oppstarten i 2009. Fra 2020 til 2023 var hun mottaker av Statens kunstnerstipend for nyetablerte kunstnere.

Welcome to PRAXIS Workshop with Tone Kittelsen - Breaking the Pattern
Sunday 24.08.2025 at 11am-3pm at DansiT, Svartlamon, Strandveien 33, Trondheim.
About the workshop: In the workshop "Breaking the Pattern," we work on acquiring new movements in our bodies and challenging fixed patterns and habits. The goal is to explore how we often limit ourselves in our movements and to open up to new expressions and forms through improvisation and physical exercises. Participants are encouraged to let go of control and allow their bodies to move freely through exercises designed to help them become more liberated and move in new directions. We will focus on identifying and breaking down the habits stored in our bodies and testing various methods to experience a new physicality state.

Bio: Tone Kittelsen comes from Kristiansand and works freelance as a dance artist based in Oslo. Kittelsen produces and creates her own performances. She has produced several projects that have been shown on stages such as Kristiansand Kunsthall, Sørlandets Kunstmuseum, the National Museum, Dansens Hus and Bærum Kulturhus. Her work is characterized by a deep exploration of movement, the body's potential and the emotional landscapes that dance can create. In recent years, she has collaborated closely with Tori Wrånes and toured nationally and internationally as part of her team. In Kristiansand, she has helped start and run the festival Ravnedans since its start in 2009. From 2020 to 2023, she was a recipient of the State's artist grant for newly established artists.

Price: 150-500 NOK (sliding scale)
Drop-in price must be paid upon arrival before the workshop via vipps or cash. The sliding scale system allows you to pay according to your financial situation. The recommended price is 300kr. By paying more you make it possible for others to pay less.
