PRAXIS Movement is a physical class series that offers different experiential approaches to movement, embodiment and consciousness. Amy Pender will host Klein Technique™ Tues 19-11 to Thurs 21-11 from 9:30 to 11:30.
About the event
Klein Technique™ is a process through which the body is analyzed and understood to improve and to further movement potential. It is intellectual in that it uses anatomical realities. It is corporeal in that we strive for an internal knowing, an understanding which is integrated into the body. It is a movement education and re-education, that can be an underpinning for all movement styles, improvisations, athletics, and for the general health of the body in everyday movement. It is a technique that honors the individual. Klein Technique™ works at the level of the bones, to align the bones using the muscles of deep postural support.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Amy Pender is a Norwegian dance artist based in Drøbak. In 2023 she graduated the Teacher certification programme led by Susan Klein, and is now Norway´s first certified Klein Technique™ teacher.
She has a BA in Modern Theatre dance from Amsterdam University of the Arts, and has since her graduation in 2014 has been working around Europe and Norway with choreographers and companies such as Bodytalk (DE), David Zambrano (BE), Spitfire dance company (CZ), Monica Münoz (IR) and Martijn Joling (NO) and Hagit Yakira.
Since she met Klein technique™ ten years ago, the work has grown to be a large part of her practice as a dance artist.
