Praxinoscope: Signs of the Zodiac

Praxinoscope is pleased to presents a new variety of short works for performance — Poetry, Scripts, Song, Sound, Video, and Dance.

Twelve artists TBD will perform artworks that each relate to one of the twelve astrological Signs of the Zodiac.

Praxinoscope is currently soliciting performance artworks for review. Artists may submit their work using this LINK until May 15, 2022.

Each performance will be six minutes or less, creating a rapid cycle of diverse artistic approaches responding to the Signs of the Zodiac as sources of inspiration.

The venue,1642 Bar, found in Historic Filipino Town, is an intimate 40+ seat, wine and beer bar — perfect for this sort of cabaret performance — music, readings, and screenings.

Praxinoscope is an artist-led, seasonal series of evening events, presenting twelve short, individual performance works that all respond to a central theme — uniquely designated in each instance.
