Nourish your mind and your body!Pranayama is the gateway from the body through the emotions and into the mind. The breath connects you to yourself and to the environment. In these times of heightened stress, worry, and tension, allow the breath to become a powerful tool to create space in your mind and body.
In this introductory workshop, we will explore the science of Pranayama, the importance of proper breathing and practice some basic pranayama techniques, while exploring their benefits and contra-indications.
This two-hour course will begin with a brief lecture. You will then be guided through a gentle yoga sequence as we prepare the body for each Pranayama technique. To ensure you feel relaxed, each technique will be practiced in a restorative Savasana.
This course will leave you feeling calm centered, and well-nourished! All experience levels are welcome!
