About this Event
PRANA MANDIR Kirtan: Gathering in Celebration of Sacred Sound
Beginning with Pranayama, yogic breath work opens the senses and brings peace to the mind. The practice of pranayama profoundly nourishes the internal systems, unblocking conscious-life-energy in the body and mind.
The heart of the program is Kirtan, chanting saced mantras as a form of community song. Kirtan comes from the path called Bhakti Yoga, a direct experience of vibrational healing and Universal Love.
A beloved Swami once said, "Every name is filled with countless powers. Sweeter than all sweet things, more auspicious than all good things, purer than all pure things, is the Name (of the Divine)."
You don't have to know how to chant in Sanskrit or even think you have a good voice for a wonderful Kirtan. All voices join together, resonating and unfolding in prayers for peace and higher consciousness.
The last part of the program is a Sound Bath crystal bowls and natural sounds. There will be time for silence, in meditation and in deep relaxation.
Please bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat, blanket or shawl so that you can lay down and be comfortable for the Sound Bath.
