EMIS invites you to a musical celebration of music by contemporary Chinese composers, of Chinese folk music and local Chinese musicians. We have many talented Chinese classical musicians in Edmonton and they would like to showcase some of the amazing music by Chinese composers (including Chinese-Canadians!) and also traditional or traditionally-inspired contemporary works. We will also have a demonstration of the very-rare Chinese harp, called the konghou. The concert starts at 2:30 pm.Performers: Frank Ho (violin), Raymond Man Wui Leung (violin), Jia Jia Yong (konghou), Stephanie Wong (oboe), Ping-Shan Liao (piano), Rron Delos Santos (piano) & Valentina Benvenuti (classical guitar)
At 2:00 pm, we will have community dance and tai-chi performances by the Edmonton Multicultural Innovative Society (EMIS).
