Come join us in Saskatoon for a weekend of clawhammer banjo instruction, workshops and jams.Are you looking to start playing clawhamer banjo, improve your banjo skills, learn how to play with others or learn some advanced techniques to grab all those melody notes? Look no further.
Schedule
We will begin on Friday evening with some introductions, a short session of instruction and then an all-ability jam.
Saturday will offer instruction in the morning and afternoon in two streams -- beginner and intermediate/advanced.
Saturday evening there will be a chance to try out banjo & fiddle duet playing through a fun speed dating format.
Sunday morning will offer the final instruction of the weekend.
About the Instructors
Daniel Koulak (Winnipeg) is a professional multi-instrumentalist who has honed his craft in clawhammer style banjo, and has loads of experience teaching! Daniel will be offering some advanced instruction in playing Metis tunes that will offer some challenging techniqes even for seasoned clawhammer banjo players.
Elliot Thomas(Edmonton) is an outstanding banjoist in the old-time style. His solo playing is a stand-out and he is also invlted to join fiddlers and ensembles to add some banjo flavor to the mix.
Cost: $180 for instruction.
Accommodations and Meals: on your own.

Saturday, Oct 4 from 10AM to 5PM and 7PM to 9PM.
Sunday, Oct 5 from 10AM to Noon.
