About Jennifer Frey
Jennifer Frey is the inaugural dean of the Honors College at The University of Tulsa and professor of philosophy in the Department of Philosophy & Religion. Previously, she was an associate professor of philosophy at the University of South Carolina, and collegiate assistant professor of the humanities at the University of Chicago.
Frey’s academic research focuses primarily on topics of moral psychology and virtue. Frey is co-editor of Self-Transcendence and Virtue: Perspectives from Philosophy, Psychology, and Theology and as a critical contributor to Against Happiness, published by Columbia University Press. She frequently writes essays and book reviews for publications including The Wall Street Journal, First Things, Image, and The Hedgehog Review. She hosts the philosophy, theology, and literature podcast “Sacred and Profane Love.”
