About this Event
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this 2-Hour live-fire course, you will become more proficient with your handgun and learn new skills which will prepare you for real-world situations. This course is especially helpful for home defense and building confidence. It will also prepare you for more advanced courses.
While fundamentals and safety are always part of your curriculum, in Practical Shooting Skills you will learn the following:
- Pistol Manipulation
- Pistol Shooting Drills
- Reloading Fundamentals
- Safety conditions
- Shooting with you Dominant and Non-Dominant hand
- Common Pistol Malfunctions
This course was designed to repeat multiple times so you can progressively improve on your skills.
PREREQUISITES:
Students taking this course will have previously attended one or all of the following:
- Basic Pisol/ Concealed Carry Course
- Shooting Fundamentals
Students must be legally eligible to handle a firearm
Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.*
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Instruction by Nationally Certified Firearms Instructor
- Range Fees
- It is recommended that you use your own firearm, however, the use of a firearm firearm can be provided if you have not purchased your own. You will need to provide ammunition for the firearm, this must be purchased before class begins.
Students are required to bring the following supplies:
- Functional handgun*
- 1-2 magazines for semi-automatic pistols*
- Safety glasses*
- Hearing Protection*
- 100 Rounds of ammunition for your firearm*
*most item are available for use at no charge, ask your instructor.
